The college is closed December 21 through January 1 for winter break and will reopen January 2. Prospective students can still apply for enrollment online during the break, and continuing students can register for Spring semester classes.
The 139-acre Southern Wake Campus is where Wake Tech first opened its doors in 1963. It offers Associate in Arts, Associate in Science and Associate in Engineering degrees for university transfer. It also offers Associate in Applied Science degrees in the following fields:
Construction and skilled technologies
Business and personal services technologies
Information technology
The campus also offers short-term, non-degree courses for workforce licensures and certifications.
The campus is home to college administration, including the President's Office and the Wake Tech Foundation. It houses a gymnasium and specialized training labs for Culinary Arts, Cosmetology, heavy equipment and skilled trades.

In addition to these services, Southern Wake Campus offers a bookstore, a STEM Center, open computer labs, a distance education testing center, student success counselors, student dining options and Student Government Association offices.
